| About Us: The Friends of the Betsie Valley District Library is a 501© (3) organization formed in April of 2005. Currently there are 55 members who volunteer countless hours encouraging educational and recreational use of the Betsie Valley District Library’s resources and programs. Our primary purpose is to raise funds to provide the Library with materials, services, and facilities to advance the education and reading , especially aimed at children. The vision of the “Friends” is to provide a state of the art facility for the community to include space for computer/internet usage, education programs, meeting rooms and to offer o collection of video and audio resources. The Betsie Valley Run, now held the first Sunday of every October, is our biggest and most successful fund raiser. All proceeds from the run benefit the library and the residents of Benzie and Manistee Counties. |
